We really enjoy food photography. One of the reasons for this is the renaissance in fine dining that is energising restaurants through out the West Highlands. There is an exciting and slightly competitive atmosphere. Chefs are creating some wonderful dishes that are a joy to photograph.
This being the West Highlands kitchens can rely on superb locally sourced seafood. Lobsters, prawns, crayfish, mussels and all sorts of white fish are available on our doorstep and are the basis of many a superb dish.
And then there is the scallop.
Scallops from Skye waters are the best. Sweet, succulent and undeniably fresh. Almost every restaurant has a scallop dish on it’s menu and each is a work of art. Some are simple, some complicated. All are a culinary delight.
